Classical Voice teacher

The joy, and love of, and dedication to classical singing and classical music are at the centre of
Patricia Argast’s teaching. In addition to the technical and musical content of her teaching, the
individual, their vocal-musical expression, their personal development, their origins and cultural
awareness are important to her.
As a classical singer and vocal teacher trained in the Bel Canto school, in which the beauty of the
sung tone has a high priority, she sees herself as a teacher between tradition and modernity. The
range of her teaching activities is very broad.
Since 2003, Patricia Argast has been teaching Classical Singing at the Freiburg im Breisgau University of
Music, Hochschule für Musik Freiburg im Breisgau, and has taught students on various courses of study.

In addition, in 2014 Patricia Argast became Head of Vocal Studies at the Music School Rheinfelden/ Baden, where she mainly cares for and promotes children’s and youth voices.

For children’s and youth voices Patricia Argast has furthered her education at Stimmwelten of the Hochschule der Künste (HDK) Bern, with Prof. Dr. med. Michael Fuchs, Leipzig, and at the Bundesakademie Trossingen.
Privately, Patrica Argast teaches voice students from all over the world who have already completed their studies, are at the beginning of their career and / or are preparing for auditions.
Patricia Argast has also been preparing students for the entrance examination for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in voice at European universities for many years. Additionally, she was a guest
lecturer for classical singing in Harbin/ China in 2007; a lecturer for singing at the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (FHNW) Aarau/ Switzerland in 2008/ 2009; and a lecturer for singing at the
Archdiocesan Collegium Borromaeum (CB) in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.
I am a member of the Federal Association of German Voice Teachers and am open to all enquiries.
Teaching languages are:
German, English, Italian and French.
